In order to attract and retain skilled, competent and customer focused people to join our team we offer a competitive and extensive benefits package providing a suite of both contractual and voluntary benefits.
Employee benefits will depend on work location and role, however, include pension, life assurance and may also include income protection and private medical healthcare.  Our employees told us they wanted access to more voluntary benefits so corporate discounts and other optional purchase schemes are also available.
In addition, we recognize the importance of providing flexibility to our employees and offer a Flexi Friday working arrangement as well as the opportunity to purchase additional annual leave.
We recognise that to attract a diverse workforce flexible working opportunities are important, we are open to discussing individual needs to ensure the opportunities at Stork are accessible to everyone.

Corporate Social Responsibility

  • Stork in the UK is involved in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) through various programmes to create value for our communities.  As part of this work Stork operate a dedicated CSR Group to oversee the activities.

The priority pillars of CSR cover:

    • Sustainability, Decarbonisation & Energy Transition
    • Community Involvement: Supporting charity organisations both in Aberdeen and Southport
    • STEM and Developing Young People
    • Healthy Working Lives

The ultimate goal for the team is to focus on developmental projects that will help the company to sustain social economic changes and maintain a better world.

CSR in the spotlight

Community Involvement is an integral component of CSR. Using the skills and services we have at hand and involving all the communities in our expanding network helps us to better understand and support their needs.
Stork’s CSR Group is constantly inundated with ideas from colleagues on how we can help our local communities, especially during the current pandemic. During these taxing times we want to continue shining a positive spotlight on our colleagues who are out in force to support their local communities. We are extremely proud of our people and the amazing activities our CSR Group and colleagues have been involved in:

  • We were extremely proud to have donate personal protective equipment (PPE) to the staff of Fergus House Care Home based in Dyce in Aberdeen. Waste disposal bags, gloves, goggles and masks were all delivered to the local care home to keep staff and residents safe. Housing up to 43 residents at any one time, Fergus House provides a safe and happy home for all who live there and the PPE Stork has donated helps to ensure everyone remains as safe as possible.
  • Our Cooperheat team located in Southport worked hard with a local COVID-19 Volunteer Support Group and Sefton 4 Good; a charity initiative from Sefton Council for Voluntary Service (CVS) which encourages local people to come together and give their time, skills, money and resources to help local good causes. In both cases, our dedicated Cooperheat volunteers were on standby with 12 Cooperheat vans, to promptly respond to requests as they come in. Our volunteers provided “a service with a smile in your hour of need” and were able to pick up and drop off essentials, including food and medicines to those who were unable to leave their homes.

These are just some of the great CSR efforts of our Stork and Cooperheat employees. The selfless voluntary work of our people is a testament to our culture at Stork - “We Care, We Support, We Protect.”
