As Manager Recruitment, you are responsible for our recruitment strategy and the execution of your plans within Stork Europe (the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany). In close cooperation with HR, business leads and external suppliers, you will shape our way of recruiting. Your strategy will ensure the right people join Stork.



  • You manage and develop the recruitment team (at this moment 5 Recruiters in the Netherlands, 1 in Belgium. At this moment the vacancies in Germany are filled via a recruiter in the Netherlands);
  • Each recruiter has his/her own responsibility for one or more business units/teams. The recruiters work at different locations and meet at least monthly at our head office in Utrecht;
  • You optimize and maintain the recruitment process in the organization within the Global framework;
  • You decide on the optimum recruitment mix/channels and recruitment sources in each specific case and give advice to HR and business leads;
  • Periodically you organize and participate in both national and regional career days and open days;
  • You also explore the market best practices in recruitment and implement when appropriate best practices in your team and the organization;
  • You ensure a firm reporting structure is in place in order to share and to steer on results and insights with stakeholders like HR, business leads (local MT members/hiring managers),

          Resource Management and external suppliers;

  • You ensure regular review and reporting of progress in realization of your recruitment plan, activities and results;
  • You allocate the budget over recruitment campaigns, events, online initiatives, knowledge sessions etc.;
  • You ensure pro-active and effective collaboration and cooperation between functional disciplines across HR;
  • You contribute to the day-to-day operation (assisting foreman Recruiter).




A good fit would be someone who is a self-starter, pro-active, practical, innovative, co-working team lead, a team player, and coach.

Someone with strong advisory, analytical and communication skills and who can keep the overview and structure things. You take ownership and you translate strategy into operational activities and are responsible for the execution. A pragmatic implementer who gets things done. You are someone who can easily switch between operational tasks and fulfill the role as a manager of the team. You have experience and you like to work in a remote team.

Our Manager Recruitment is likely to fulfill most of the following job requirements:



  • B.Sc. or M.Sc. in HR field or general business



  • Recruitment experience, with a minimum of 5 years in both corporate and commercial environments;
  • Experience with online recruitment concepts and techniques is required;
  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in managing and developing teams including remotely;
  • Must have a network of senior industry professionals and companies;
  • Mastery of the Dutch and English language in word and writing;
  • Experienced in managing internal- and external stakeholders.


Place in the Organisation


Recruitment plays an important role and therefore Recruitment is focusing on attracting and finding the right talent and is handling the first intake with candidates (most of the time by phone/MS teams). In the next steps after, Recruitment plays a coordinating role in close cooperation with the hiring manager and HR.


You will report to the European community manager of HR experts & advisors, and will work closely together with other subject matter experts from different disciplines in this team.

Location: hybrid, Utrecht, the Netherlands – also depending where the candidate lives (minimum of 2 days per week working at a Stork location)

Hours: 32-40 hours per week
